This was 2 years of negotiation to get this one underway. Manchester City Council was keen, but we couldn’t agree on an event concept; outdoor, indoor, rave, festival stage… you name it we thought about it. They loved the 360 marketing support that Crashes gives a city, but we needed a stage.

Then we saw the Manchester Cathedral and just had to do it there.

Everyone was in agreement we needed an artist to suit the venue Adele or Alicia Keys were the top 2. Alicia agreed and it was amazing.

The combined economic and media value of the staging of the event and the broadcast of the resultant programmes is thus to date estimated at £12.072m and delivered an audience of over 21.7 million.
